The Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary which is located in the Surjuga District is so called because of the 2 prominent features of this piece of land the Tamor Hill and the Pingla Nalla (stream). Bishrampur is the nearest railhead to the sanctuary. In the case of Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary too, Ambikapur makes a good halt for tourists who come to have a glimpse of the mixed wildlife of this sanctuary. Excellent time to explore the sanctuary and heat is from November to June.

  • Tiger was sitting on a log, Leopard with a cub sitting on a tree, Elephants, gaur, sambar, malabar giant squirrel. White bellied woodpecker, crested serpent eagle, green imerial pigeons, streak throated woodpecker and crested hawk eagle. Crocodiles and Rattlesnake.

By Road:Sanctuary is well connected by road from all places in Chhattisgarh. Ramkola Bus Stand is approximately 5 km away from the sanctuary. Surajpur bus station is also very close by.
By Rail: Nearest Railway Station is Surajpur Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Surajpur is approx. 90 kms from Ramkola
By Air: Nearest airport is in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh State, which is approximately 260 km (211.26 miles) away. Taxi services are available to reach the sanctuary.
