Mokolodi is a small, private reserve on the outskirts of Gaborone Day visitors can drive themselves in the reserve, or book a two-hour, open-vehicle day or night drive There is accommodation in the reserve as well Tourism is only one of Mokolodi’s operations; it also has a white rhino breeding program and a wildlife sanctuary that supports sick or injured wildlife The new reptile park serves an important conservation and educational role Activities include rhino and giraffe tracking and cheetah interaction

  • Tiger was sitting on a log, Leopard with a cub sitting on a tree, Elephants, gaur, sambar, malabar giant squirrel. White bellied woodpecker, crested serpent eagle, green imerial pigeons, streak throated woodpecker and crested hawk eagle. Crocodiles and Rattlesnake.

How to reach?

Mokolodi GR is located 12km/7mi south of Gaborone The park is an easy day trip from the city and popular with business travelers and expats It is possible to drive to the reserve from Gaborone, and you can either self-drive in the park, or take a guided, two-hour safari It is also possible to take a bus from the city, which drops you 15km from the park entrance
